Confidants
Welcome to university and a new chapter in your life. However exciting this new chapter may be, it does not always come easy. There are many factors that may influence your life at university, and we want you to know that you don’t have to go through everything alone. If you ever need anything from a little rant to talking about a serious issue, we, as confidants, are here for you. Everything you tell us is confidential unless requested otherwise by you. Additionally, we are here to listen and will not act on anything unless requested by you. You can contact one of us directly or email us at confidant@svstorm.nl

Whit monday
Because of Whit Monday on the 6th of June, the VU, and thus the StoKa will be closed!
ALD
Because the Board has planned an ALD on the 10th of June, the StoKa will be closed for the entire day!
Lustrum
STORM is celebrating their 35th (official) birthday next year, and we need you to make it incredible! We opened a Call for Ideas, to involve STORM members to find ways to celebrate our lustrum. Do you have ideas for activities during our lustrum week (in the week of 8 February 2023)? Drop those greatest, biggest ideas here and maybe the LustrumCie will make your dream activity come true!

AC - Entertainment night
A fun entertainment night where we will watch a movie in the StoKa!

Hack4Her
Hack4Her is the first women-only hackathon created as a collaboration between STORM and the VU. Hack4Her aims to provide a safe, woman-centered space to develop and showcase technical problem-solving skills. This 2-day event will be comprised of hacking, mingling, presentations, and free food! Date: 3rd and 4th of June Location: The 16th floor of the NU building
EducaCie - Lunch Lecture
Come join us for the lunch member presentations in the StoKa at 12:45! You will hear interesting topics presented such as games, game development and cryptocurrency, as well as free lunch!

CareerCie - In-House Day Ayden
Our partners Adyen are hosting an in-house day on the 14th of June from 13:00 until 17:00.
Do you have an interest in the Fintech industry? Are you curious about where to apply your skills after university? Participate in Adyen’s in-house day to find out more about what they do and how they go about it.
Adyen took an unobvious approach to starting a payments company and built a platform from scratch. Today, they are the payments platform of choice for the world's brightest companies. Their unobvious approach is a product of their diverse perspectives. This diversity of backgrounds, cultures, and perspectives, is essential in maintaining their momentum.
This event is open to all STORM members. There will be a more information Adyen, their engineering team and their career opportunities. Students will also take part in an interactive task that will mirror a real-life challenge for Adyen employees.

Relax and play some Street Fighter or air hockey during our arcade night. Tickets will include coins for the games and of course the first drink will be on us. We'll be leaving the StoKa at 17:30, so be there if you want to join us. You can meet us there as well!

AC - End of the Year BBQ
Just a few more days to go before it's time for some well-deserved holidays. But before you go on vacation, celebrate the end of the academic year at our End Of The Year BBQ, on June 29th! The BBQ starts at 17:00. If you can not join the BBQ, no worries! We've got your back, because after the BBQ (and during) we will have a borrel that goes on not until 22:00, but until 23:00!
